Spain, the current holders of the title of world champion, defeated Colombia, who were competing in the finals for the first time, to win the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup with a 1-0 victory. Colombia was competing in the finals for the first time. After scoring an own goal in the last game for the championship, Colombia's heartbreaking campaign came to an abrupt end.

An own goal scored by Colombian defender Ana Mara Guzmán Zapata in the 82nd minute of the contest clinched the championship match between Spain and Colombia. Spain emerged victorious at the end of the contest. At the venue where the match took place, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, along with top officials from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Asian Football Federation (AFC), were present to watch Spain secure a one-goal victory that allowed them to defend the title they had previously won in 2018. This victory allowed Spain to defend the title they had previously won in 2018.

Cristina scored for Spain on the rebound after the goalkeeper for Colombia made the original save. This put Spain in the lead. The shot was stopped in the beginning by the goalkeeper for Colombia. After a review by the video assistant referee (VAR), it was decided that the goal should not count, hence the score remained at 0-0. When the decision was being made, it was discovered that Cristina had her hand on the ball at the time. During the group stage, these two teams competed against one another, and Spain emerged victorious with a score of 1-0. Spain, who are considered to be strong in Europe, won their second crown with this win.

It came down to a penalty shootout between Nigeria and Germany to decide who would take third place, and Nigeria emerged victorious. The fact that both Germany's Paulina Platner and Loreen Bender failed to convert their penalty kicks, in addition to the fact that goalkeeper Omilana Faith made a save on a shot that was taken by Paulina Bartz, paved the way for Nigeria to win their first-ever medal in the competition and become the first African country to do so. India was the host country, but they didn't make it out of their group because they didn't win any of their three games.
